Great Restaurants can be found in all of the surrounding villages, particulary Gumusluk which has some fabulously located waterfont restaurants, as does Yalikavak. There is a wonderful restaurant less than 2Km from the apartment called 'Limon' which has fantastic food and a wonderful atmosphere at sunset when the area is most stunning. 'Mezze' starters are great, fresh and varied and the seafood is really something else, caught locally and presented in many mouthwatering dishes.
For the more active types the sea and coastline offer the opportunity to Snorkel in the crystal clear waters, Dive, Sail and Windsurf.
If you want to enjoy the water but don’t feel like exerting too much energy, we suggest one of the many boat trips that you can take – it’s a great way to spend a day relaxing, and exploring the beautiful coastline, coves and beaches.
There are many Historical Tours that you can go on to explore the rich ancient history that surrounds this area, and they are highly recommended. You could choose to visit the natural wonders of Pamukkale, swim over the ancient city of Hierapolis, or view ancient remains at Aphrodisias. There are organised coach tours or you could easily rent a car and go to discover some of the many wonderful secrets Turkey has to share with you.
Every week day there is a Market Day in one of the local towns which feature some of the most amazing local produce and may inspire you to cook at the apartment a couple of times! – the produce is so fresh and the market also has fashion and gift items, so you must check out at least one market day during your stay. You will find bartering a friendly experience and the quality of all the herbs and spices, fresh breads and leather goods is second to none. Bodrum Market is one of the best, but Yalikavak just down the road also has lots to see and plenty of great stuff to buy. There is no hassle from traders and always a good deal to be had!
